Banana in Pyjamas..

Did alot of good workshops this week, one involving recycling garments. We were asked to bring in several old clothes that we didn't mind destroying (hard task). We then had to reinvent them in some way, bear in mind we only have half a day to do this so the garment is not actually wearable because it is stapled together, its more the idea that counts!

I chose a pair of men's pyjama bottoms as they had a striking pattern, I cut up the inside leg seams and then ruched them together aswell as the the bottom and sides to create a puff ball effect. I removed the waistband in order to make them less masculine and used the drawstring as a strap around the neck.

I was literally stapled into the dress for these photos! Probably why I look so uncomfortable!
