Exciting Times!

Recently I received a letter from  New College Nottingham (where I will be studying next year) They have set me three tasks to complete over the summer to take with me in September.

The first is 'Paper Shoes', The aim of the the task is to reproduce an interesting pair of old shoes accurately and as beautifully as possible using only different types of white paper and discreet ways of joining them together. My first thoughts in this were mixed as I have never really done anything like this before, I look forward to the challenge and am currently hunting for 'the' shoes!

The second task is to produce a three dimensional, full figure self portrait. That has to be 30cm tall and can be made from any materials! This is the one that excites me most as I am always saving interesting objects, papers and materials so I should be able to have some fun with this.

The third task is to photograph the 3D figure six times in a variety of locations which illustrate your personality, photography is something that I am not the most skilled at so this should be a challenge for me but I look forward to it as it is a skill I would like to improve.

These tasks have to be completed by the 10th of September so I am keen to get on with developing my ideas so the work I take is to a high standard.Start as you mean to go on and all that!

The cover of the book of my ideas is as far as I have got so far, but my mind is working over time trying to come up with an original idea!
